John Zablocki

A former Fulbright Scholar to Slovenia studying native fishes of the Balkans, John Zablocki now leads The Nature Conservancy's strategy on renewable energy and conservation planning in Southeastern Europe. This involves integrating the Conservancy's science and policy expertise to engage stakeholders in pursuit of more sustainable pathways for conservation and development in the region. Surprisingly, this work has close parallels to John's other role in the Conservancy as the Mojave Desert Program Director, given that the Mojave Whole System is also based on balancing renewable energy development and conservation in the desert Southwest.
