It’s Bastille Day and we don’t have a single post relating to France. But we’ve got revolutions — the green kind. From hybrid “tuk tuks” to storing excess energy, here’s all the enviro news you need this morning.

1. Here in the USA, we have Whole Foods grocery stores that give priority parking to hybrid vehicles, while over in Asia hybrid “tuk-tuks” (or auto-rickshaws) are in the works.
2. Bright Green Blog wonders if cap-and-trade could create another economic bubble a la the one that just collapsed the global economy.
3. Oddly enough, Sarah Palin makes a similar argument in the Washington Post, saying the economics of cap-and-trade are bad and suggesting we build a pipeline in Alaska instead. Grist says Palin is ignoring facts and picks apart her argument line by line.
4. As if things in the Middle East aren’t complicated enough, The Vine discusses how more trouble between Pakistan and India could be in the forecast due to climate change.
5. Is storing excess energy a problem of the past? Jon R. Luoma writes in Yale Environment 360 that this issue plagued green energy development in the past, but now might be within our reach to solve.
